It is distinguished by its spicy taste, which causes a feeling of warmth when eating it, and the beginning of its appearance and spread was seven thousand five hundred years ago in Bolivia and then Mexico, but today the countries of Asia have become the most productive to it, starting in 2014 AD The world produces green pepper 16 million tons, where China produces 48% of global production annually, followed by Mexico with a production of 2.7 million tons, followed by Turkey with a production of 2.1 million tons.

As for dried hot pepper, India is the first country to produce it, as it produces annually one and a half million tons, and 32% of it is dried annually from well-known products, which are served in all Egyptian dishes.

Black pepper is a dry fruit of a kind of climbing tree called the flowering vine, which belongs to the family of pepper, which farmers harvest, dry, and grinds, while white pepper is obtained from black pepper after removing its shell. The global production of black pepper is 378 thousand tons annually, Vietnam is the first country in the world to produce it with a production of 163 thousand tons, while Indonesia comes second with a productivity of 89 thousand tons, followed by India with a production of 53 thousand tons, then Brazil 42 thousand tons, and China 31 thousand tons.
